MTV has been on the road with the hottest bands in the world right now; see the blistering action from May 30th @ 7pm, MTV Two.
Bring your own beer and mark your spot, the night kicks off @ 7pm with unprecedented footage from London’s Carling Academy in Islington. The Ting Tings, Alphabeat, The Fratellis, The Subways, The Pigeon Detectives and The Metros, all took to the hallowed stage delivering the spanking new sounds of 2008. In this exclusive show, we’ll also be taking you from front row to beyond the red rope, going backstage for interviews with all the acts.
Stay with MTV Two @ 8pm as we serve up an extended set from Leeds heroes The Pigeon Detectives, followed by Glaswegian rockers, The Fratellis @ 8.30pm. Taking post-punk inspiration, The Futureheads will be live and loud @ 11pm alongside Brazilian electro-clash ensemble, CSS @ 11.30pm.
Continuing on Saturday, the Spanking New Tour hits Cardiff’s Carling Academy (check venue) with The Script, One Night Only and headliners, The Zutons, all @ 8pm, MTV Two. Matching Friday’s unprecedented access to talent, MTV will serve up chat from all the bands.
