MTV Two’s Flagship Music Show Returns
Tuesday 15 September at 9pm on MTV Two

This September marks the return of Gonzo, MTV Two’s flagship music show hosted by Zane Lowe.

In the first show, we see Zane interviewing Yorkshire indie-rockers The Cribs and getting the low-down on their new album Ignore the Ignorant which is slated for release this autumn.

Also in the studio is the Mercury Music Prize nominated Jamie T who will perform an exclusive acoustic set just for Gonzo, as well as chatting about his career on the sofa with Zane.

Gonzo has a knack of attracting an enviable calibre of guests, and getting them involved in the slightly absurd (jamming with plastic toy instruments) through to heated in-depth discussions. Bands are eager to make Gonzo a priority when they’re in town and previous guests range from Beck to Blondie, NIN to the Beastie Boys. One particularly memorable show squeezed The Killers, Bloc Party, Futureheads and Kaiser Chiefs into the studio at the one time. Chaotic, and perhaps a bit sweaty, but impressive nonetheless!

All this with one eye on the viewer who remains the focal point of the show, sending in their views and tips on hot new bands as well as questions for studio guests. Since its launch in 2002, Zane Lowe’s maverick stance and simple love of music has made Gonzo a show that attracts a fiercely loyal fan base and this latest series promises even more music news, top name guests and viewer interaction.
