Entriq Powers the Delivery of Online and Mobile Offerings to support MTV UK’s digital activity
Entriq, Inc., a company that provides all-in-one pay media solutions to manage, protect, monetize and deliver multimedia content to broadband, mobile and IPTV devices worldwide, today announced that it has entered into a working relationship with MTV Networks UK and Ireland to support it’s multiplatform broadcast activity. Entriq will be providing market-leading security, commerce and customer care services to support MTV’s online initiatives like MTV Overdrive as well as future WAP services.
MTV UK recently announced the launch of MTV Overdrive, its free on-demand, online entertainment and music service, which gives extra access to exclusive video clips from popular MTV shows such as Pimp My Ride, Punk’d and Dirty Sanchez as well as bespoke news and entertainment packages and exclusive live performances.
This service follows the launch of MTV UK’s Mobile Portal, a WAP site which allows music fans to access a wide range of content, including live news feeds, fully functional search capability, chart information and downloads of ringtones, photos and videos. In addition, the service provides real-time information on what is currently airing Now and Next on MTV channels. As well as being able to access the content via MTV’s own portal, consumers can also reach it through Hutchison’s 3 network and O2.in the summer. Other networks are expected to follow.
To ensure only legitimate viewers can access the content, Entriq is providing content security for Overdrive and mobile WAP services. Entriq is also delivering a customer care, commerce and billing solution, including live chat and email for consumers, allowing MTV to provide a personalised, secure and user-friendly consumer experience complete with enriched content not available anywhere else.
