As MD for MTV Networks UK sales house, VBS, Nick is responsible for generating all broadcast commercial revenue across the channel portfolio.
Since 2004 when he was promoted from Sales Director to become Managing Director Nick has pioneered the development of VBS into a full service sales house. The creation of the division AMP (Advertising and Marketing Partnerships) within the existing VBS structure has shifted the company’s focus to embrace the idea of building bespoke, creative solutions for advertisers. Nick strongly believes that any company can and should advertise on television and that looking beyond the traditional 30-second spot is the future.
2006 will see VBS continuing to grow and develop the ideas of environment and congruency around advertising as well as pioneering a neurological revolution in the measurement of advertising response.
Nick’s media sales career began in 1990 at Thames TV where he remained for three years before moving on to UK Gold and Y&R, until 1997 when he joined fledgling terrestrial outfit Channel 5 as Business Director and then Sales Director for C5 interactive in 2000.
