MTV World Stage is a brand new live music venture from MTV Networks, bringing the best live concerts from around the world straight to your TV every Friday night.
Kicking off proceedings are Coldplay, fresh from scooping three Grammy awards, the band perform live in Tokyo from the Saitama Super Arena.
MTV World Stage will transmit in High Definition and broadcast across 62 MTV channels in 162 countries to give music fans the most up close and personal music experience they could wish for from the comfort of their own home.
Whether in Athens, London, Buenos Aires or Beijing, every Friday night is “live music night” on MTV as fans across the world are transported to front row seats to experience their favourite recording artists, live.
Future MTV World Stage concerts will feature a ‘girls’ night in’ special with a double bill from the Pussycat Dolls and Katy Perry (6 March), Slipknot (13 March), Oasis (20 March) and Franz Ferdinand (27 March).
