To celebrate the release of Madonna’s definitive greatest album collection, Celebration, VH1 is dedicating a whole week of programmes to the ultimate queen of pop and reinvention.
Highlights of the week include, Madonna: The Official All Time Top 50 on Wednesday 21 September at 7pm, and the week of programming will close with Madonna’s Confessions Tour Live on Friday 25 September at 9pm, this is a week of programmes not to be missed if you’re a Madonna fan.
In 1984 Madonna released her album Like a Virgin and hasn’t looked back since. It went to number one in the US billboard chart and sold twelve million copies worldwide and since then Madonna has been the undisputed Queen of Pop.
Madonna: The Official All Time Top 50 is sure to have fans of the material girl dancing around their living rooms. With global chart topping songs, Like a Virgin and Papa Don’t Preach from the eighties, nineties smash hits Ray of Light and Beautiful Stranger and noughties anthems American Life and Hung Up all in her back catalogue, this is the ultimate Madonna countdown.
Madonna’s Confessions Tour Live was the highest grossing tour ever for a female artist and didn’t fail to live up to fan’s high expectations. Performing in America, Europe and Asia, Madonna wowed fans and critics around the globe. Every concert was full of energy and excitement and included massive hits Music, Lucky Star and La Isla Bonita. VH1 viewers will have the opportunity to re-live this fantastic show in the climax to this Madonna inspired week of programming.
