A-LIST JOIN FORCES TO PRESENT AT THE STAR-STUDDED
MTV MOVIE AWARDS 2008
A-Listers Jack Black, Linsday Lohan and Robert Downey Jr all join the growing roll call of Hollywood’s finest to present at this year’s Movie Awards, which will air on Monday June 2nd on MTV One @ 9pm
They will be joined on stage to present the coveted Golden Popcorn award along with: Steve Carell, Mark Wahlberg, Seth Rogen, Megan Fox, Jennifer Hudson, Anne Hathaway, James Franco, Rumer Willis, Brendan Fraser and Danny McBride.
The night promises a battle of the geek-chic films with Seth Rogan’s ‘Superbad’ and Ellen Page’s cool ‘Juno’ leading the race with 9 nominations between them. Blockbusters ‘Enchanted’, ‘Transformers, ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End’ and ‘Knocked Up’ are also set for a fight with 3 nominations each. English rose Keira Knightley is flying the flag for Britain with her swash-buckling performance in Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End winning her a Best Actress nomination. But can Keira make rivals Ellen Page, Katherine Heigl, Amy Adams and Jessica Biel, walk the plank leaving her an 18-carat kernel treasure chest?
Expect tears, tantrums and tiaras as Hollywood’s finest attend the awards ceremony no one wants to leave empty handed! Packed with celebrities, comedic moments, and some very special appearances there will no doubt be some great surprises along the way.
The glitterati will join previously revealed performers Coldplay and The Pussycat Dolls, who will take the stage to debut new music and deliver eagerly awaited live performances on June 1st.
The 17th annual awards show will be hosted by actor Mike Myers, from the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California.
