MTV Two’s flagship show Gonzo, celebrates its 5th birthday the only way it knows how… with riotous live sets from the hottest new and established acts. Gonzo stalwart Zane Lowe will ensure that this six date nationwide birthday bash is a bender to remember by giving each act an exclusive grilling before they hit the stage.
Zane Lowe kicks off MTV Two’s evening of celebrations @ 7pm with Gonzo on Tour 2007, featuring interviews with the acts hand-picked to join the Gonzo party. He’ll be chatting to everyone from surprise act Babyshambles, headliners Bloc Party, The Cribs, Jack Penate, Funeral for a Friend and The Rumblestrips, through to bands tipped for the top such as Joe Lean and the Jing Jang Jong, Dan Le Sac vs. Scroobius Pip and Gonzo tour teen faithfuls, Operator Please.
Following hot on the heels of Zane’s hour of trademark irreverent chat are highlights from the tour’s live line-up. Gonzo on Tour 2007: The Live Stuff will feature the best bits from the six gigs staged across the country. Highlights include the newly refreshed Pete Doherty’s first full show with Babyshambles and an astonishing turn by Bloc Party on the London leg of the tour.
The Gonzo tour is famed for catching talent just before they hit the big time. The Gonzo Tour bus will be pulling into MTV Two on Friday November 16 from 7pm – make sure you don’t miss it because we can guarantee that you will miss out.
