International superstars Akon, Maroon 5 and Enrique Iglesias head to Malta to headline ‘Isle of MTV’, MTV’s annual live summer festival. This hour-long special brings you live performances and in-depth interviews from backstage at this summer’s hottest music spectacular.
Grammy Award winning artist Enrique Iglesias kicks off proceedings with a sizzling performance serenading the expectant audience with singles from his latest album, ‘Insomniac’, before bringing the house down with pop classics ‘Bailamos’ and ‘Hero’. Next up, Maroon 5 entertain the 40,000 strong crowd with an energetic set featuring their latest riff-filled single ‘Make Me Wonder’, plus old favourites ‘Harder to Breathe’ and ‘This love’. Akon closes the show, presenting his eclectic repertoire of hits, including internationally acclaimed tracks ‘Smack that’ and ‘Lonely’ to an awe-struck crowd.
