Following the somewhat dubious success of Totally Boyband's 'Upper Street', the Yanks have decided to form their own uber manband. Mission: Man Band revisits the golden age of US boy bands to bring together pop-tastic talents from *NSync, 98 Degrees, LFO and one-hit wonders Color Me Badd, to take a second shot at superstardom.
Between them they've sold millions of records and captured the hearts of thousands of fans across the globe. In their attempt to reclaim the success they once had Chris Kirkpatrick invites Jeff Timmons (98 Degrees), Rich Cronin (LFO) and Bryan Abrams (Color Me Badd) to move into his Orlando mansion and prepare for their transformation from former teen idols into fully-fledged Man Band members. Once settled in, the boys face a frosty meeting with their no-nonsense manager who admits to being sceptical of their appeal (despite their combined multi-platinum album sales). Jeff Timmons, troubled by the same doubts, suffers a sleepless night and threatens to leave the band before they even get started!
In a bid to get the band back on track, their manager arranges for them to undergo a Native American ritual to bless their new beginning. After a brief stint sweating by the campfire, the boys share a serious (as in seriously funny) heart to heart and vow to give the project their all.
Will these former teen idols be able to avoid the pitfalls of the past, or will it be egos a-go-go as the band members attempt to revisit their former glories?
