Following in the footsteps of ‘Totally Scott Lee’ and ‘Totally Boyband’, infamous party girl Jodie Marsh grasps the reigns of the latest ‘Totally’ franchise, taking MTV along for the ride on her jaw-dropping nationwide quest to find a man and marry him before the summer is out.
The opening episode finds Jodie Marsh at a turning point – following a night out in Essex (clad in furry leopard print pants, fishnets, a bra and top hat) she returns home bemused and frustrated at the calibre of men she encounters in her hometown. Certain that she has exhausted all that Brentwood has to offer she makes the dramatic decision to embark on a no holds barred mission to marry and arranges auditions across the country to find her man.
Jodie meets with prim and proper wedding-planners, delivering one of the episode’s many high points, who look on in horror as she describes in explicit detail her ideal goth-rock wedding. Their jaws drop further as she admits there is currently no groom! The photo call launching her search also brings an element of cringe as baffled onlookers mingle with hard-nosed hacks determined to grill Jodie as she postures in her trademark belts, along with a tutu and veil, atop a giant wedding cake in Leicester Square.
Jodie's family inject the show with a healthy dose of heart, expressing concern over her man hunting methods and delivering some home truths that bring the show to an emotional climax and leave you gagging for the next instalment.
