The latest documentary in VH1's Rock Doc series exclusively chronicles the last 30 days in the life of TLC rapper Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes, before her tragic death in a car crash. Edited from home video footage shot in Honduras, a country that served as a place of sanctuary for Lisa, the film is a poignant and personal overview of the life, philosophy and music of the enigmatic superstar from one of the world’s most successful female, RnB groups of all time.

In April 2002 Lopes, clean living under the guidance of a spiritual healer, opted to share her lifestyle with friends and family on a month-long spiritual retreat in Honduras. In thoughtful mood, the outspoken rapper attempted to set the record straight about her controversial career via a series of candid video diaries and interviews. This feature-length documentary, edited from Lopes’ footage, includes her thoughts on her upbringing, her rise to fame, subsequent difficulties with alcohol and her troubled relationship with former NFL player Andre Rison that led to her burning down his house.

As a staunch believer in astrology and numerology, Lopes punctuates the film with references to her philosophy. Often appearing fresh-faced and vulnerable, Lisa shares moments of introspection providing an intimate insight into her positive outlook as well as the eerie premonitions which foreshadowed her death.

Join VH1 @ 10:30pm on Friday 22nd June as we celebrate the life of a truly unique talent with this raw, intimate and moving documentary.
