VH1’s ‘The Nation’s Favourite No.1 Men’ is the second in a series of VH1 collaborations with The Official Charts Company. Hosted by Alesha Dixon ‘The Nation’s Favourite No.1 Men’ counts down who has proved to be the 50 best selling male acts in chart history. Featuring bands from U2 to Westlife and male solo acts from Cliff Richard to Nelly – what all these men have in common is earning the UK Number 1 singles spot more than once.
On March 10th 2007 at 7pm, VH1 will count down the male artists who have been at the top of the chart the most times AND shifted the most singles. Drawing from the detailed research and data of The Official UK Charts Company, the countdown will reveal who is placed higher:
Oasis or the Rolling Stones? (both with 8 No.1s)
Robbie Williams or Rod Stewart? (both with 6 No.1s)
Wham or Busted? (both with 4 No.1s)
Daniel Bedingfield or Frank Sinatra? (both with 3 No.1s)
These male artists are the ones that the British public have bought in their millions, putting them at the top of chart on the most occasions over the last 50 years and as such there is no question that these are ‘The Nations Favourite No.1 Men’. Host Alesha Dixon - talented, confident, sassy and sexy has had an illustrious career in music over the past 7 years and is adding TV presenter to her bow. Alesha has the pleasure of revealing all on the ‘Nations Favourite Number Men’ she had this to say “How lucky am I, checking out the stats of 100 gorgeous and talented men in music?”
