Get Seen, Get Heard Final 5 brings together the 5 short listed, unsigned artists from last year's Oxjam festival to perform on MTV. This hour-long special tracks the bands as they head to London to meet up with music industry experts, before taking to the stage in an attempt to seal that elusive record deal.
The 5 lucky bands featured were selected by viewers and industry insiders as the talent ‘to watch’ from hundreds of bands that participated in last year’s Oxjam fundraising event for Oxfam. Get Seen, Get Heard, featuring top tips from established bands including Razorlight and Maximo Park, follows winning acts The Clerks, Bakery Girls, Subpop Sunday, Members of Me and Waylaid as they set out on their musical mission to London to receive expert industry insight and perform live in a top venue. Each band meets with their assigned mentors to get in depth advice on how to navigate their way to success. After receiving a mixed bag of high praise and harsh criticism, the bands must decipher and digest the advice they have been given and deliver top-notch performances for their mentors to feed back on.
