Just 5 acts remain, competing to Get Seen, Get Heard, on June 9th, MTV Two.
Last October MTV put the shout out for prospective Coldplay’s, Razorlights and Kooks in-the-making to rock up and prove their salt at Oxfam’s OXJAM festival. A massive 40,000 artists entered and have been running the gauntlet since October, and now we are down to just 5.
They are Stars of Track & Field, Taking Chase, Susie Clarke, Liam O’ Donnell and The Volt.
Watch the acts learn from the best in the industry as each pair up to be mentored into the final. The Futureheads’ Ross, The Subways’ Billy, Alex Gilbert (A&R Manager, 14th Floor Records), Sarah Adams (Ex- Warner Music Director) and music impresario Stephen Budd, are all on hand to inspire and rein in the ambitious acts hoping to get seen on the OXJAM stage.
Colin Murray will host the feverish final as 5 gets cut to 3, with the trio of acts singing for victory in front of the expert mentoring panel. The competition is set to be fierce. Alongside the grand prize of performing at the OXJAM festival, the winning act will also be immortalised in a Spanking New Music session, which in the past has propelled the careers of Newton Faulkner, Foals and Vampire Weekend.
