MTV ONE brings you Fur TV; a brand new series revealing the dark underbelly of puppetry that Sesame Street was too scared to show you.
Leading the puppet pack with his laid-back charm and smooth moves is Brazilian love god Lapeño Enriquez (aka club legend DJ Peenie.) With a different glamorous chica on his arm every night, Lapeño is the heart, soul and thong of Fur TV, with a nice line in urban philosophy and a killer caipirinha recipe.
Edward ‘Fat Ed’ Tubbs, the B.A Baracas of the trio, has just three simple passions in life – beer, food and heavy metal - and fronts the self-styled ‘heaviest band in the world’ Stinkhole with his customary lack of tact and spectacular acts of random violence.
Completing this motley crew is sweet, good-natured serial self-abuser Mervin J. Minky. All-purpose victim, hapless chef and firm enthusiast of friction fiction, poor Mervin would love a girlfriend, but that would mean him meeting real women, which is out of the question. So back to the mags he goes, as often as furrily possible…
Fur TV is an outrageous and sexually charged late night MTV comedy show, where these puppets live and breathe in our very human world…and they’re up for anything. As they rock out, put out and fall out, we’ll see them cage-fighting, hanging out in illegal dentists’ drinking dens, trying to avoid drug dealers, cannibals and deranged landlords, pulling the hottest girls, cloning themselves, relaxing in front of their favourite splatter movies (and of course MTV) and firing up their trusty toasted sandwich maker.
Along the way, we’ll also meet a host of supporting characters, both fur and skin. On the puppet side, there’s Fit Ed who is Fat Ed’s annoyingly perky cousin, Apples the foul-mouthed hellcat puppet who steals Ed’s heart, and Pussy Monsta the phattest gangsta rapper on Earth. And keeping things real are the barely buttoned up former sex addict Dr. Vanessa Serious, Peenie’s old Rio cronies Bruno & Lucia, and Tony Coke the Head of Exploitation at Genocide Records.
Fur TV launches on MTV ONE on Sunday 4th May @ 10 pm
