In 2005, hip hop fans around the world were welcomed into one of the industry’s biggest and best loved families when MTV began filming Run’s House with the legendary Rev Run from Run DMC.
Viewers took daughters Vanessa and Angela Simmons to their hearts and witnessed the trials and tribulations of growing up in a hip hop household. Three years later it’s time for the girls to spread their wings and make new lives for themselves by leaving the family home in New Jersey and set up shop in LA.
Already successful fashion entrepreneurs in their own right thanks to their clothing range Pastry, Angela dreams that LA will bring her the man of her dreams after her recent break up with her ex, whilst Vanessa – already a budding actress – longs for movie stardom.
As both girls adapt to the new lifestyle of Hollywood, they'll need to remember the important life lessons that their dad, Rev Run, has instilled in them.
Daddy’s Girls also introduces two new faces – Jessica, the sisters’ east coast cousin, and new neighbour Alycia.
