'THE YOUNG GODS OF COMEDY'IN ASSOCIATION WITH MTV BASE, PRESENT
KOJO, PAUL CHOWDHRY AND WILL E ROBO FOR A UNIQUE NIGHT OF COMEDY IN LONDON'S WEST END
‘The Young Gods Of Comedy’, staged in association with MTV Base, will take over London’s Shaftesbury Theatre for one night only on Sunday 16th March for what promises to be an evening of the finest comedy. ‘The Young Gods Of Comedy’, is the brain child of Harvey (So Solid Crew) and producer Robert Mackintosh (Evita In Concert, Daddy Cool). Harvey will host the evening which will showcase the superior talents of three of the best upcoming comedians. Headliners Kojo, Paul Chowdhry and Will E Robo will take to the famous West End stage and will be filmed to air exclusively on MTV Base in May.
Base favourite, Kojo, is fast becoming one of the biggest talents to emerge from the comedy circuit. Following his sell out stand up show, ‘The Fresh Prince Of Hackney’, Kojo has received Best Male Comedian award at the Black Entertainment Comedy Awards for the third year running.
Meanwhile, Paul Chowdhry over the past few years has distinguished himself as one of the most prominent and popular Asian comedians today. Constantly challenging and relentlessly inventive, his dry and observational humour taps into the multi-cultural diversity of contemporary Britain.
Joining them onstage and flying especially over from the States, is Will E Robo. A fresh name to the UK, Will E Robo is best known in the States for working on projects such as P Diddy’s Bad Boyz Of Comedy. We’re delighted he can join us for this night of quality entertainment and share his unique talent with a UK audience.
Bringing a musical flavour to the evening is Pimp My Ride UK’s very own Tim Westwood, who will be DJ'ing throughout the night.
