The 26th annual MTV Video Music Awards are here and this year’s show promises to be bigger and better than ever before. The music event of the year will be presented by Britain’s very own love lothario and all round funny man, Russell Brand, with some unbelievable performances from the biggest names in pop, rock and hip hop.
Superstar rapper and producer, Jay-Z, will take to the stage to perform a track from his highly anticipated upcoming album The Blueprint 3 and he will also be hoping to scoop a Moonman trophy or two for his nominations in ‘Best Male Video’ and ‘Best Hip Hop’ categories. International sensation Lady Gaga is sure to get the crowd on their feet with a performance from her multi-platinum debut album, The Fame, and will also vie for an outstanding nine awards including the coveted ‘Video of the Year’.
The show is sure to be one of the hottest tickets around with performances from international music artists including, rock gods Green Day and Brit band Muse, super cool P!nk and pop princess Taylor Swift, all ready to give the performances of their lives on the VMA’s global music stage.
And the fun doesn’t end with the on-stage performances as some of the biggest stars in the world prepare to hand over the Moonmen to their rightful owners. Gossip Girl’s Leighton Meester and Chace Crawford, iCarly’s Miranda Cosgrove, Katie Perry, Ne-Yo and Nelly Furtado will all be there to take on the presenting duties.
